Central Employment are working with a highly regarded creative, digital and design advertising agency, as they look to expand their team with a new creative and motivated Junior‑Mid Multimedia Designer.

Location: Tyne & Wear based, 3 days a week. Salary: Circa £28,000‑£31,000 DOE + benefits.

We work with major global brands to develop marketing communications targeting healthcare professionals, payers, influencers, patients and consumers.

Role Overview

The Junior‑Mid Multimedia Designer role is ideal for someone with strong visual storytelling skills who can confidently deliver engaging multimedia content across digital, social, video, and print platforms. You’ll collaborate closely within our perfectly formed team which is small enough to take full autonomy yet large enough to work on internationally significant projects. You will utilise your experience to design and produce items including impactful campaigns, brand assets, motion graphics, and multimedia experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working across a diverse mix of platforms to design and build a wide range of deliverables, such as interactive detail aids, presentations, websites, e-learning and print.
  • Storyboarding and idea generation to produce and edit video content, motion graphics, and animations for campaigns and branded content.
  • Support the development and evolution of brand identity across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret briefs and translate ideas into compelling visual concepts.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, emerging technologies, and multimedia best practices.
  • Contribute creative ideas during campaign planning and brainstorming sessions.
  • Present, both internally and to client stakeholders.
  • Ensuring a full awareness of the allocated budget and deadline delivery expectations.

Essential Requirements

  • Circa 2 years’ experience in a multimedia or graphic design role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital design, video, and print work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines across multiple brands.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with Figma or other UI/UX design tools.
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge.
  • Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
