The predicted salary is between 42750 - 52250 Β£ per year.

We're currently working with a well-established, privately-owned construction business with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, our client is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the appointment of Estimators at all levels, from Trainee and Assistant Estimators through to Senior and Managing Estimators.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing competitive and accurate tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Producing detailed take-offs and cost estimates
  • Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities
  • Responding to client and consultant queries during the tender process
  • Working closely with commercial, design and operational teams
  • Attending tender meetings and occasional site visits

Requirements:

  • Previous estimating experience within a main contracting environment
  • Good understanding of construction methods, procurement and pricing
  • Strong measurement and cost planning skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
  • Experience using estimating software such as Causeway would be advantageous but is not essential
