Central Employment are delighted to be working with a market leading Online Retail organisation based near Newcastle city centre, as they look to appoint a DTC, data driven eCommerce Manager, to support their ongoing growth and operational success. We’re looking for a results-oriented DTC Ecommerce & Trading Manager to lead and optimize my client's DTC eCommerce channels. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in website management (especially Woo-commerce), digital merchandising, and online marketplace operations.

Key Responsibilities of the DTC eCommerce & Trading Manager:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management and performance of the WooCommerce website.
  • Implement updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and liaise with external developers.
  • Optimize site architecture, navigation, and UX to drive conversion rates and AOV.
  • Develop and execute trading strategies based on analytics, seasonal trends, and performance data.
  • Manage product launches, merchandising schedules, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor sales, margin, and stock availability to ensure optimal product placement and inventory levels.
  • Manage product listings, pricing, and promotions on third-party platforms - TikTok and Amazon.
  • Optimize product pages for SEO and conversion on marketplaces.
  • Track performance, ensure compliance with platform guidelines, and implement strategies for growth.
  • Monitor site analytics, user behavior, and KPIs to inform decisions.
  • Use insights to drive ongoing improvements in conversion, customer journey, and profitability.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce management, with a focus on DTC channels.
  • Hands-on experience managing Woo-commerce or similar eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience with tools like SEMrush, Hotjar, Klaviyo, or similar.
  • Proven track record of managing trading calendars, merchandising strategies, and online promotions.
  • Familiarity with online marketplaces (Amazon, TikTok) and their seller tools.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Excel, and eCommerce KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimization.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and commercially minded.

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or WordPress development.
