We are seeking an experienced and driven Industrial Recruitment Consultant to join our team at Central Employment, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role focuses on managing temporary recruitment accounts within the industrial sector, supporting both multinational clients and SMEs. You will play a key part in maintaining strong client relationships, delivering tailored staffing solutions, and ensuring the smooth running of temporary assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end temporary recruitment processes for a portfolio of industrial clients
- Source, screen, and assess candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Maintain regular contact with clients to understand staffing needs and ensure service satisfaction
- Conduct thorough candidate interviews and compliance checks to meet client and legal requirements
- Oversee the placement and onboarding of temporary workers, ensuring smooth assignment starts
- Handle day-to-day account management, including timesheet queries, absence management, and performance feedback
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and support new business development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company and legal standards
Requirements
- Ideally 2 years’ experience in recruitment (any sector) – desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interviewing skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain client and candidate relationships
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices and compliance standards
- A proactive approach with a genuine drive to succeed and develop
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience in B2B business development and account growth
- Willingness to build and manage your own desk, with warm roles available to get started
