Central Employment are working in partnership with a fast‑growing Digital Marketing and Creative agency, who are looking to appoint a client‑facing Mid/Senior Designer (brand/digital). Newcastle based x 4 days a week, 1 day from home. Up to £35k DOE & quality of portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the evolution of brand identities for a diverse range of clients, ensuring every design is authentic, consistent, and resonates with the target audience.
- Lead the development of visual communication strategies, conducting market research and competitor audits to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Oversee project budgets and timelines, delivering high‑quality, impactful visual and technical output efficiently.
- Set the standard for brand guidelines, ensuring all work—whether created by you or the wider team—maintains total brand integrity.
- Conceptualise and build high‑quality assets across all channels, including brand systems, marketing materials and responsive front‑end web development.
- Design and build intuitive UX/UI experiences, ensuring pixel‑perfect and functional technical implementation.
- Use data and performance metrics (e.g., engagement and conversion rates) to optimise designs and improve ROI for clients.
- Clearly present design performance and technical results to clients, demonstrating the direct value of creative work.
- Serve as the lead creative contact for the client portfolio, building trust through expert advice and a deep understanding of business goals.
- Confidently present complex design concepts and technical builds to stakeholders, clarifying the rationale behind the work.
- Manage the revision process professionally, balancing client feedback with creative best practices to reach the best possible outcome.
- Guide and mentor junior designers and developers, fostering a culture of learning through best‑practice sharing, design reviews, and skill development.
- Work closely with copywriters, marketers, and developers to ensure projects are cohesive and meet all strategic objectives.
- Identify ways to improve workflows, from design‑to‑dev handoffs to adopting new tools that increase team efficiency.
- Stay at the forefront of design trends, front‑end technologies, and relevant software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client industries to ensure work remains relevant and competitive.
Essential Experience & Skills
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in brand strategy, digital design (UX/UI), and front‑end execution.
