A well-established manufacturing business in Sunderland is seeking an experienced Thermoforming Setter to join its production team. Working on a 3-shift rotation, this role plays a key part in supporting high-speed thermoforming operations and maintaining demanding quality and performance targets.
Reporting to the Thermoforming Tooling Manager, the successful candidate will work across production to ensure thermoforming tooling is installed, set up, and optimised in line with quality standards and departmental KPIs.
Key Responsibilities- Install and set up thermoforming tooling across a variety of high-speed machines
- Optimise machine settings to maintain the production plan and deliver consistent product quality
- Supervise operators and material handlers within the allocated production cell
- Carry out troubleshooting activities to minimise downtime and achieve KPI targets
- Complete first-off product sign-off and set standards for ongoing production runs
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and Health & Safety compliance
- Train and support other team members when required
- Minimum of 1 year's experience
