Conveyancing / Post Completions Assistant

An established legal practice is seeking an experienced Conveyancing / Post Completions Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous conveyancing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient administrative support.

The Role

Working closely with the residential conveyancing team, you will support the progression of property transactions, with a particular focus on post-completion activities, compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate case records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing post-completion matters for residential property transactions.
  • Preparing and submitting applications to the Land Registry.
  • Completing SDLT submissions and related documentation.
  • Closing files and ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to progress transactions.
  • Maintaining and updating case management systems with accurate information.
  • Providing administrative support to fee earners across the conveyancing department.
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring files remain fully compliant.
  • Delivering a high standard of client service throughout the conveyancing process.

About You

  • At least 12 months' experience within a residential conveyancing environment.
  • Previous exposure to post-completion work.
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management software.
