We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative with an FLT licence to join a well‑established organisation based in North Gosforth. This role offers long‑term stability, development opportunities, and a clear route from temporary to permanent employment.

Pay and Shifts

  • £14.62 per hour
  • Initial day shift moving to rotating two‑shift pattern: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable, safety‑conscious Warehouse Operative with valid FLT experience. The successful candidate will support warehouse operations including goods in/out, stock handling, material movements, and maintaining a safe, organised working environment. Experience within manufacturing, production, or logistics environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate FLT equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing goods, including checking, labelling, and storing stock correctly.
  • Support production departments with timely delivery and removal of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, stock counts, and warehouse documentation.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of products in line with site procedures.
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties including packing, palletising, and organising inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to meet operational targets.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or both).
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive in day‑to‑day tasks.
