We are seeking reliable and experienced Warehouse Operatives on a long-term contract basis (3 months plus) or on a permanent basis. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of their warehouse facility. This role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming goods and check them against delivery notes or purchase orders.
- Scanning and sorting items accordingly.
- Organise and store goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles using manual or mechanical equipment.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse managers or supervisors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate manual handling equipment safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
