Accounts Assistant
Central Employment are working in partnership with a well-established and growing business to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong Sage 50 experience who enjoys working in a varied role, taking ownership of day-to-day accounting processes while supporting the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing financial data and transactions using Sage Line 50
- Reconciling bank, cash and credit card accounts
- Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers
- Preparing, submitting and reconciling VAT returns
- Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Completing full trial balance reconciliations at year-end
About You
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping position
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
- Experience with reconciliations, VAT returns and month/year-end processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
