The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural engineering specialist and steelwork contractor based in Stockton. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to add experienced Spray Painters to their production team. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable and growing business, offering long-term work and the potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare steel components for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
  • Apply paint coatings using spray equipment to required specifications
  • Ensure an even, high-quality finish on all products
  • Mix paints and coatings as required
  • Carry out inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain spray equipment and ensure it is cleaned and functioning correctly
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 4:40pm
Friday: Overtime available
Saturday: Overtime available
Sunday: Overtime available

Overtime paid at time and a half

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in industrial spray painting (essential)
  • Experience working with steel or within an engineering/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of different coatings and application techniques
  • Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
