HGV Class 1 Driver
Central Employment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established transport and logistics business based in Middlesbrough.
We are looking for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a growing transport operation.
This is a hands-on role within a busy logistics environment, supporting the safe and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing deliveries and collections in line with scheduled routes
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Completing transport documentation and tachograph records accurately
- Complying with drivers' hours regulations and road transport legislation
- Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Following all company health & safety procedures
- Representing the business professionally at all times
- Candidate Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Experience with containers, flatbeds, tippers or extender trailers advantageous
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours legislation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
- Flexible attitude towards working hours and overtime
