Central Employment is working on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Project Engineer for an 18–24 month contract. This role will support the delivery of a major capital project involving the design, construction, and commissioning of a new packing hall and warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments and a background in capital project delivery, with exposure to equipment systems and/or mechanical utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering scopes across utilities, facilities, and equipment systems.
- Lead mechanical utilities workstreams (HVAC, compressed air, water systems, drainage).
- Plan and execute live site tie-ins and cutovers with minimal operational disruption.
- Develop URS, support procurement, and manage supplier technical interfaces.
- Review engineering and vendor documentation (drawings, FAT/SAT, O&M manuals).
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements (MHRA, FDA).
- Coordinate contractors and stakeholders across operations, quality, and engineering.
- Support project delivery, risk management, and final handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) with capital project experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical/GMP environments.
- Knowledge of equipment delivery, commissioning, and validation.
- Experience with utilities/building services and live site tie-ins desirable.
Skills
- Working knowledge of GMP, GDP, and pharma standards.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
