We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial control across the business. This position is ideal for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Produce variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly board packs and financial commentary.
- Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts.
- Work collaboratively with department managers to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support commercial decision-making.
- Provide cost analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reporting.
- Support financial modelling and scenario planning as required.
- Monitor KPIs and assist in the development of new performance measures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Review processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with operational teams to explain financial performance and drive accountability.
- Build strong relationships across finance and non-finance functions.

Key Skills & Attributes
