We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial control across the business. This position is ideal for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Produce variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly board packs and financial commentary.
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts.
  • Work collaboratively with department managers to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support commercial decision-making.
  • Provide cost analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reporting.
  • Support financial modelling and scenario planning as required.
  • Monitor KPIs and assist in the development of new performance measures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Review processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with operational teams to explain financial performance and drive accountability.
  • Build strong relationships across finance and non-finance functions.
