We are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Administrator to support our client's fast-paced finance function. This role is ideal for someone at entry level or early in their finance career, who may be studying AAT or looking to progress through the AAT pathway. The successful candidate will be proactive and comfortable working across a broad range of transactional finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with purchase ledger duties, including processing and coding invoices
  • Supporting the sales ledger process and helping to prepare customer statements
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations and updating internal finance systems
  • Assisting with credit control tasks, including chasing outstanding payments
  • Supporting month-end processes and general financial administration
  • Handling queries from internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring filing systems are kept up to date
  • Contributing to a busy, collaborative finance team and assisting with ad hoc duties as required

Business Central Responsibilities

  • Managing Online Returns in Microsoft Business Central
  • Processing returns in Shopify, then manually updating Business Central to correct stock levels and financial entries
  • Dispatching products in Microsoft Business Central, ensuring accurate and timely transaction entry
  • Processing Offline Refunds
  • Completing refunds in PayPal and ensuring all finance tasks are completed in Business Central, including Credit Memos, Cash Receipt Journals, and Ledger Entries
  • Reconciling all online returns, offline refunds, dispatches, and associated transactions for Financial Control (FC)
  • Thoroughly checking invoices received from the warehouse, ensuring accuracy before processing

Ideal Candidate

  • Some experience within an accounts or finance admin role (or equivalent transferable administrative experience)
  • Working towards AAT, or keen to begin AAT studies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident with Excel and finance/ERP systems
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to multitask efficiently within a small but busy finance team
