Central Employment Technology division are working with a scaling in-house Software team as they look to recruit a Mid-Senior Umbraco Developer, with the opportunity to work on digital projects like a new customer app and modern web platforms. Fully office based in Tyne & Wear, part of established and knowledgeable IT & Development team.

Mid-Senior Umbraco Developer profile:

You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's web platforms, working on end-to-end delivery across a modern .NET and front-end ecosystem. This is a mid-level role suited to someone who can work independently but also enjoys contributing within a well-structured team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, enhancing and maintaining web applications using C#, ASP.NET, Razor, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Working heavily within Umbraco CMS (v12+), including creating custom components and plugins.
  • Improving site performance, accessibility, security, and responsiveness.
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Supporting junior developers and contributing to shared technical knowledge.

We're looking for someone who combines solid technical skills with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Commercial experience in front-end or full-stack development (2+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS (v12+ preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and associated tooling.
  • Competency in C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and an understanding of modern web architecture.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON integrations, source control and CI/CD pipelines.
