Established in 1979, Central Employment is a leading independent Recruitment Agency based in Newcastle Upon Tyne & Middlesborough. We have specialised in temporary, contract and permanent recruitment across a broad spectrum of industries for over 40 years, supplying staff with full UK coverage. We strive to achieve a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and bring extensive knowledge of recruitment practice and up-to-date assessment methods.

A true 360 role you will manage clients, candidates and process from prospect to delivery. Responsibilities include:

  • Source, screen, and assess candidates using all recruitment methodologies from direct search to job boards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Conduct thorough candidate interviews and assessments to ensure alignment with client needs and cultural fit.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our client base and market presence through deep discipline and/or market knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and recruitment best practices to enhance service delivery and drive business growth.
  • Be a voice of your specialist area within the Regional and broader UK market.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the recruitment team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment of best practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideally you will have a number of years' experience in temp recruitment - industrial/construction.
  • Experience in developing client relationships from scratch and operating a 360 model.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and ability to support team development.
  • A real drive to succeed and develop within the team.
  • You must also enjoy working in a high-pressure environment and the responsibility that comes with it.

Pay & Benefits:

Central have invested greatly in the employment benefits they offer in the past 12 months including brand new offices, reduced working hours and increased holiday allowance, and there is more to come. Our current benefits include:

  • Competitive Package: Strong base salary + car allowance
  • Annual end of year bonus (5% of salary based on company sales targets & 5% based on individual performance)
  • Commission scheme is both competitive and uncapped - a genuinely industry leading structure.
  • 29 days Annual Leave, increasing to 34 plus Bank Holidays.
  • Early finish on Fridays.
  • The option to work from home one day per week.
  • Discounted gym membership.

Work-Life Balance: Monday-Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm, Friday 8.30am-3.30pm. You will be working for a team and company with sensational ambition which gives individuals a space to grow.
