An established civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the North East is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support its growing portfolio of residential groundworks projects.

The Role

  • Commercially responsible for a number of residential development schemes, working closely with site and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
  • Cost management, forecasting, and reporting across multiple sites.
  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
  • Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Supporting tendering and pricing for upcoming works.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Driving commercial performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering.
  • Essential: strong background in residential groundworks / housebuilding civils.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Commercially aware with good negotiation capability.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
