An established civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the North East is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support its growing portfolio of residential groundworks projects.
The Role
You will be commercially responsible for a number of residential development schemes, working closely with site and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost management, forecasting, and reporting across multiple sites
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Supporting tendering and pricing for upcoming works
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Driving commercial performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities
About You
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
Essential:
- Strong background in residential groundworks / housebuilding civils
- Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts

- Strong communication and organisational skills
