The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new trade partnerships within the interior design, architectural, and property development sectors. This is a proactive outbound role focused on driving specification, securing new accounts, and developing long-term project-based relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively prospect interior designers, architects, specifiers, and developers through outbound calls, emails, and industry platforms.
- Build and manage a pipeline of trade leads and project opportunities.
- Present product solutions aligned with design requirements, technical specifications, and project budgets.
- Onboard new trade accounts and guide them through early orders and project workflows.
- Develop relationships with design professionals to support repeat business across multiple projects.
- Attend design and architecture events to increase brand visibility and build networks.
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and project data in the CRM.
- Strong outbound sales experience (ideally in a design-led or project-driven environment).
- Ability to communicate confidently with designers, architects, and developers.
- Understanding of design/specification processes and project lifecycles.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with strong pipeline and follow-through discipline.
- 3 years in B2B outbound, trade sales, or project-based account management.
- Experience working with interior designers, architects, or property developers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of design trends, materials, finishes, or building products is an advantage.
