A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Technician to support the smooth running of its large-scale production site. Operating within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, this role plays a key part in ensuring the facility remains safe, efficient, and well-maintained at all times.
The Role
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair, and site-upkeep duties across both internal and external areas of the operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Site & Grounds Maintenance
- Performing general upkeep and maintenance across the site and surrounding grounds.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across all external areas.
- Carrying out minor repairs as required.
- Landscaping & Outdoor Presentation
- Managing gardens and landscaped spaces.
- Ensuring all outdoor areas remain tidy, safe, and presentable.
- Office & Operational Area Support
- Supporting maintenance across office spaces and all operational/production areas.
- Completing basic repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring a safe, functional working environment for all teams.
- Infrastructure, HVAC & Compounds
- Undertaking basic maintenance and monitoring of compound areas.
- Supporting HVAC system checks and escalating performance issues where needed.
- Liaising with specialist contractors for specific maintenance requirements.
- Reporting faults or issues promptly to prevent disruption.
- Painting, Decorating & General Repairs
- Delivering interior and exterior painting and general decorating tasks.
- Preparing surfaces and maintaining high presentation standards across buildings.
- Basic Plumbing & Electrical
- Carrying out basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, blockages, and minor fixture replacements.
- Replacing light fittings and bulbs, and performing minor socket repairs.
- Yard & Floor Maintenance
- Supporting yard maintenance activities to ensure safe and organised external workflows.
- Conducting basic floor repairs to maintain hazard-free surfaces.
