The Vaccination Officer is a hands-on operational delivery and assurance role, responsible for managing vaccination assurance and data analysis across the Integrated Care System. The postholder supports the Strategic Vaccination Lead by maintaining effective operational oversight and control of vaccination programmes, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with national and local requirements.
Main duties of the job:
- Vaccine Allocation, Supply & Wastage Management: Maintain day-to-day oversight of vaccine stock, allocations and deliveries across the system. Monitor site-level stock positions and ensure timely stock takes. Manage shortages and reduce vaccine wastage. Identify and expedite supply or delivery risks, providing clear mitigation options.
- Provider Queries & Operational Problem-Solving: Act as a key point of contact for vaccination providers, responding to operational queries. Troubleshoot issues, provide clarity, and elevate risks where required. Support providers to meet delivery expectations through practical advice and assurance.
- Operational Assurance of Programme Delivery: Provide assurance on delivery of vaccination programmes including Covid-19, Flu and other routine programmes. Monitor delivery for care homes and housebound patient cohorts. Highlight delivery risks, variation or slippage to the Strategic Vaccination Lead with recommended actions.

Person specification:
- Knowledge and Experience: Experience in coordinating projects, workstreams, or service delivery within a health or care setting. Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve shared objectives. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to agreed timescales and standards.
- Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., health, care, public services, management, or related discipline). Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in health, social care, business administration, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to analyse data and use evidence to inform decisions and monitor performance. Competent in using digital tools and systems to support reporting, coordination, and service improvement.
