Vaccination Delivery & Intelligence Manager in Ely

The Vaccination Delivery & Intelligence Manager is a senior operational and analytical leadership role within the Vaccinations Team, supporting and coordinating delivery, assurance, and intelligence across Central East. The postholder provides line management and professional leadership, ensuring consistent operational standards, high-quality outputs, and clear accountability across specific footprints. A core function of the role is to bring together all vaccination-related operational, performance, and population data into a single view. The postholder translates complex datasets into meaningful operational intelligence, enabling informed decision-making, proactive risk management, and targeted intervention. Working closely with the Strategic Vaccination Lead, the role bridges strategy and delivery — ensuring that national and system priorities are translated into actionable insights at place level. The postholder provides assurance on programme performance, highlights unwarranted variation, and supports the reduction of health inequalities through data-driven operational insight. This role operates across Central East, maintaining a strong understanding of local delivery models, place-based challenges, and neighbourhood variation, while supporting system-wide coherence, governance, and reporting.

Main duties of the job:

• Line manage staff, including objective setting, supervision, appraisal, performance management, and development.
• Act as the central coordinating role for vaccination operational intelligence across places and neighbourhoods.
• Supports alignment between place-based delivery activity and system-level priorities.
• Pull together data from national and local systems, including FDP, ImmForm, Eclipse, supply and stock dashboards, and place-level reports.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and clarity across all reporting outputs.
• Analyse vaccination uptake, delivery capacity, access, equity, and supply by Place, PCN, neighbourhood, and priority cohorts.
• Identify unwarranted variation, delivery challenges, and opportunities for targeted intervention.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports, briefings, and narrative summaries.
• Provide clear interpretation of trends, risks, and performance issues, with evidence-based recommendations.
• Monitor delivery performance across all vaccination programmes, highlighting risks, slippage, or emerging pressures.
• Identify disparities in uptake, access, and delivery affecting priority and underserved populations.
• Provide insight to support targeted interventions at place and neighbourhood level.

Person specification:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., health, care, public services, management, or related discipline).
• Experience in leading and coordinating projects or services in a multi-agency environment.
• Experience in operational planning, performance monitoring, and delivery of agreed objectives.
• Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and use insights to inform decisions and improvements.
