The Strategy and Planning Officer will lead the development and delivery of strategic and operational planning frameworks, ensuring alignment with national NHS priorities, ICB objectives and neighbourhood priorities.
The Strategy and Planning Officer will:
- support with the co-ordination of project work aligned to the development of the ICB's strategy and associated delivery plans
- provide support to the Strategy and Planning Leads and other senior colleagues
Main duties of the job include:
- To manage and coordinate the daily delivery of specific work areas, projects, or service functions within organisational procedures and standards.
- To provide operational and administrative support to senior colleagues in implementing ICB and system priorities.
- To supervise and support staff, ensuring that work is well organised, communicated, and delivered effectively.
- To use data, evidence, and feedback to inform decisions and continuous improvement, devising mechanisms for collecting, reporting and analysing available data.

Qualifications & Professional Background:
- Evidence of continuous professional development, with a track record of keeping skills and knowledge current.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in health, social care, business administration, or a related field.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., health, care, public services, management, or related discipline).
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in coordinating projects, workstreams, or service delivery within a health or care setting.
- Understanding of NHS structures, Integrated Care Systems, and the principles of the NHS Long Term Plan.
- Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve shared objectives.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to agreed timescales and standards.
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and financial procedures in a public sector or healthcare environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
