One of the ways we are achieving this is through our use of technology. The Council uses SAP SuccessFactors to manage all HR activities, including employee records, learning and development, performance management, and recruitment. Alongside this, SAP S/4HANA Payroll supports our core payroll functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert support for SAP SuccessFactors and S/4HANA Payroll
- Ensure systems are stable, efficient, and user-friendly
- Contribute to system enhancements, automation, and future development
- Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives, including AI and workflow optimisation
- Play a key role in ensuring that our SAP landscape continues to evolve to meet organisational needs and deliver an excellent user experience
- The support and maintenance of SAP SuccessFactors modules and S/4HANA Payroll
- Managing and coordinating SAP HR Support Packages (HRSPs)
- Performing data imports/exports, validation, and reconciliation
- Supporting and maintaining SuccessFactors-S/4HANA integrations
- Configuring system settings, including business rules and workflows
- Managing and maintaining SAP tables and data structures
- Provide incident, request, and problem management in line with SLAs
- Support testing activities (UAT, regression testing) and releases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities
- Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting SAP SuccessFactors (core modules such as Employee Central, Recruitment, Learning, or Performance & Goals) plus S/4HANA Payroll
- Understanding of SAP integrations and data flows including SAP integration technologies such as CPI/BTP and APIs
- Experience with Success Factors configuration and rule-based logic
- Familiarity with Data protection (GDPR) and role based access controls
- Knowledge of SAP tables and data structures
- An understanding of AI capabilities within SAP ecosystems
- Strong experience managing support queues, incidents, and SLA-based service delivery
Education and Skills
- You will be educated to BTEC / NVQ Level 3+ or HNC/HND in Computing plus have a knowledge of basic scripting such as PowerShell.
- SAP SuccessFactors certifications are desirable as is a basic understanding of ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming).
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification is also desirable with practical application in incident and request handling plus change management.
