Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Head of Facilities Management to lead our Facilities Management service. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for a £13.5m revenue service, oversight of c.£10m capital investment, and leadership of around 60 staff, alongside a wide network of contractors and partners.
As Head of Facilities Management, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the council’s corporate estate, ensuring our land, buildings and workplaces are safe, compliant, efficient and aligned to corporate priorities. You will lead a centralised Corporate Landlord function, holding accountability for the performance, maintenance and compliance of all non‑HRA property assets. The role spans end‑to‑end facilities management, workplace strategy, statutory compliance, capital delivery and commercial services.
