We’re excited to welcome new Drivers and Passenger Assistants to our friendly Fleet team. This is more than just a transport role—it’s a chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of people in our community every day.

Our Fleet Transport team ensures that older people, children with special educational needs and disabilities, and adults with additional needs can safely access schools, day centres, and vital community services. Your support helps people stay connected, independent, and included—something that truly makes Central Bedfordshire a great place to live.

We offer both permanent and relief opportunities. Relief roles are an important part of providing continuity for our service and can offer regular work, sometimes up to 25 hours per week (though this cannot be guaranteed). You’ll receive full training, a uniform, and the equipment you need to excel in your role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Safely transport passengers to and from a variety of community settings.
  • Support individuals with care, patience and understanding.
  • Build positive relationships with passengers, families and staff.
  • Help create safe, comfortable journeys for those who need a little extra support.
