About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and committed leader who drives a positive person-centred culture and high-quality care to manage our residential care service in Dunstable, Central Bedfordshire. Linsell House is a CQC registered service providing 24/7 accommodation and personal care for up to 16 people with complex health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and sensory impairments. The service also provides regular respite care to over 30 individuals. The service has a dedicated team of 40 made up of two deputy managers, care and support staff, kitchen staff and an administrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Registered with CQC, managing day‑to‑day operations ensuring a good standard of service and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of the care service, implementing improvements and striving to maintain a good or outstanding CQC rating.
- Lead, manage and support those responsible for providing direct care services to ensure positive outcomes for people.
- Finance and resource management – monitor and forecast spend, operating within an allocated budget.
Essential Criteria
- Experience as a Registered Manager within residential care settings.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Comprehensive understanding of CQC’s Single Assessment Framework.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
