Salary: £41,042 - £44,296 annum pro rata - plus £6,500 Market Rate Supplement per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

This is an opportunity for a Class 2 A Registered Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control team and to help us deliver safe and compliant buildings. The work involves a varied case load of building control work, dealing with varied projects in urban and rural locations around the Council area. We offer a hybrid working environment with a blend of local office hubs, site work and home working. In a supportive team environment, you will work closely with colleagues, less experienced team members, our regulatory partners and our applicants and deal with regulatory compliance, enforcement, dangerous structures and all aspects of Building Regulations.

You will ideally have a degree (or equivalent qualification and experience) in Building Control Surveying or a related subject and be a member of a relevant professional institute. You will also have building control experience, strong communication skills and can show experience and evidence of working on a range of domestic projects in line with your registration. We offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements, but there is an expectation that the postholder will be able to regularly, probably daily, visit sites across the CBC area.
