Salary: Β£41,042 to Β£44,296 per annum pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location, primarily Priory House, Chicksands, Shefford, as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month

Contract type: Fixed Term – 12 months

About the role:

Central Bedfordshire Council aims to enhance infrastructure, community wellbeing, and sustainability. Our Housing Service manages over 5,600 Council-owned homes. We are implementing a new Housing application to improve our services. This Application Support Officer role involves embedding and developing this new application, supporting channel shift, digital transformation, and business intelligence improvements within the Housing Service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop Housing key systems, including supporting and testing interfaces around the new One Housing solution.
  • Ensure quality of changes, manage technical specifications, governance, and collaborate with tenants, customers, and the Housing Service to meet functional requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to manage SLAs, ensure applications are up-to-date, and drive efficiencies and automation.
  • Manage the application roadmap to mitigate risks, oversee upgrades, and meet the evolving needs of the Housing Service with a focus on customer service.
  • Manage daily operations of the Housing application, including incident and problem management.

Skills, experience, and qualifications:

We seek an experienced applications manager with ITIL qualifications, excellent relationship-building skills, and strong communication, change management, networking, and coaching abilities. Experience with the Housing Service and knowledge of the One Housing (MRI Capita) application are essential. Skills in interface scripting, mapping, and testing are desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, Office 365 integrations, SharePoint, and project management qualifications such as Prince2 are also important. Please note, Central Bedfordshire Council cannot offer Visa sponsorship for this role.
