Work Placement Coordinator

Central Bedfordshire College – Corby Campus (Tresham College – Corby Campus). Salary: £24,720 per annum, DOE. 27 days annual leave, Bank holidays, People\’s pension, Retail and leisure discounts. Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per year. Contract: Permanent – Full Time.

About the Role

As a Work Placement Coordinator in Student Services, you will coordinate and expand placements for students across programmes and T Levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and coordinate relevant work experience and industry placements for students.
  • Ensure placements meet health, safety, safeguarding, and funding compliance standards.
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to curriculum teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external employers to generate opportunities and respond to enquiries.
  • Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and statutory duties; support audits, inspections, and promotional activities.

About You

  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths; experience handling employer enquiries and coordinating placements.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and HSE standards; ability to provide employer advice and maintain detailed records.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Professionalism aligned with college values (Customer Focus, Respect); commitment to a welcoming environment.
  • Safeguarding commitment; flexible to work across Bedfordshire Institute locations.
