About The Role
- Apprenticeship Delivery & Mechanical Engineering Support – Support Mechanical Engineering apprentices through end‑to‑end programme delivery, including induction, training, assessment and development of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- Workplace Assessment, Coaching & Progress Tracking – Conduct regular workplace reviews, set SMART targets and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure timely progression and successful completion of apprenticeships.
- Employer Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration – Build strong relationships with employers, tutors and support teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of training with industry needs.
- Quality Assurance, Compliance & Documentation – Maintain accurate e‑portfolio records, ensure compliance with funding rules and awarding body requirements, and contribute to internal and external quality assurance processes.
- Professional Practice, Health & Safety & Continuous Development – Promote safe working practices, support learner wellbeing, engage in CPD and uphold safeguarding, EDI and College standards.
About You
- Qualifications & Mechanical Engineering Expertise – GCSEs (Level 2) with a Level 3 Engineering qualification, supported by recent industry experience and strong knowledge of mechanical systems and disciplines.
- Technical Skills & Practical Application – Hands‑on expertise in mechanical maintenance, fitting and assembly, hydraulics and pneumatics, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Apprenticeship Support & Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to manage caseloads, communicate effectively with learners, employers and stakeholders, and support apprentices to achieve successful outcomes.
- Organisation, Initiative & Performance Delivery – Highly organised and proactive, able to manage workload independently, meet targets and ensure consistent learner engagement and progress.
