About The Role
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Maths to join our Maths and English department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching & Curriculum Delivery β Plan, deliver, and assess engaging maths lessons across a range of levels and qualifications, ensuring alignment with awarding body standards and individual learner needs.
- Student Support & Progress β Guide students through tutorials, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback to help them achieve their potential and meet academic targets.
- Curriculum Development & Innovation β Contribute to curriculum planning, develop new learning materials, and integrate vocational opportunities to enhance the student experience.
- Quality Assurance & Administration β Maintain accurate records, meet assessment and reporting deadlines, and participate in course reviews, team meetings, and quality improvement processes.
- Professional Engagement & Compliance β Support marketing and recruitment activities, uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety standards, and engage in continuous professional development.
About You
- Qualifications & Subject Knowledge β Holds or is working towards a relevant degree or Level 5 qualification in maths, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and up-to-date knowledge of the subject area.
- Teaching Experience β Recent experience teaching and assessing maths at Level 2 and above, with a strong track record of high performance and meeting awarding body standards.
- Professional Skills & Values β Demonstrates excellent organisation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, aligned with the Collegeβs values of Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, and Honesty.
