Hours per week: 29.6 (37 weeks per year)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging personal development sessions across a range of programmes, supporting learners to build confidence, life skills and achieve their potential.
  • Develop schemes of work and innovative learning materials to meet awarding body requirements and engage diverse learners.
  • Track learner progress, maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of administrative tasks to support achievement and compliance.
  • Promote positive behaviour, create inclusive learning environments and enhance student development through enrichment and real‑world opportunities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, team activities and events while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • GCSE English and Maths with a commitment to achieving a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTTLS).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high‑quality, learner‑centred experience, creating engaging and inclusive environments that support student success.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; able to meet deadlines, build relationships and contribute positively within a team.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding, maintaining professional boundaries and supporting the wellbeing of learners.
  • Positive and adaptable approach, committed to continuous professional development, with flexibility to travel, work varied hours and respond to organisational needs.
