About The Role
We are currently seeking a Lecturer to join the Performing Arts Department at Tresham College, Kettering Campus.
Responsibilities
- Teaching & Delivery – Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality courses, ensuring inclusive, engaging learning that meets awarding body standards and individual student needs.
- Student Support & Progress – Guide, mentor and monitor students through tutorials, assessment and feedback to help them achieve success and reach their full potential.
- Assessment & Quality Assurance – Design and assess work, track performance, maintain records and ensure compliance with quality standards, verification and moderation processes.
- Curriculum Development & Engagement – Contribute to innovative teaching, course development, employer links and wider activities such as marketing events, open days and student recruitment.
- Professional & Organisational Responsibilities – Uphold college values, safeguarding and student experience, complete administrative duties, collaborate with colleagues and support departmental and college‑wide initiatives.
About You – Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in a relevant subject area or relevant industry experience and professional standing; GCSE English and Maths (Grade A‑C); recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality learning experiences, support student progress and contribute to curriculum development across FE levels; skilled in tutoring, applying innovative teaching methods and using data and IT systems to improve outcomes.
- Highly effective communicator with strong organisational skills, capable of meeting deadlines, achieving targets and working independently or collaboratively.
- Confident in IT (Microsoft Office, Teams) and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Detail‑oriented, adaptable and resilient under pressure; builds positive relationships, handles sensitive information confidentially and demonstrates leadership while aligning with values such as equality, safeguarding and professionalism.
- Flexible and mobile, with responsibility for safeguarding learners and maintaining professional boundaries; holds relevant training (e.g. First Aid, safeguarding, EDI, ITQ) and meets health and safety expectations, including risk assessment awareness.
