Location: Central Bedfordshire College – Dunstable Kingsway Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £30,915 and £41,085 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave (Pro-Rata) plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 15 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Part Time

About The Role
- Immersive Technology Operations: Manage and maintain VR headsets, controllers, and related equipment, ensuring devices are fully operational, session-ready, and deliver a reliable user experience.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Deploy software, firmware and updates, diagnose hardware and software issues, collaborate with vendors, and provide effective technical support to minimise disruption.
- Session Delivery & User Guidance: Support coordinators with equipment preparation and live sessions, set up safe and optimised VR environments, and provide one-to-one guidance to staff and students on digital and AI-enabled tools.
- Asset Management & Continuous Improvement: Track inventory and usage data, maintain accurate records, test new applications and updates, and contribute to improving processes, documentation and operational standards.
- Collaboration, Compliance & Professional Development: Participate in team activities and training, follow organisational policies, and actively promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety, and continuous professional development.
About You
- Qualifications & Technical Foundations: GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above or equivalent), with a basic understanding of digital technologies and experience using common software such as Microsoft Office.
- Educational & Digital Learning Experience: Familiarity with educational or training environments and experience using online learning platforms, tools, and technology to support learning activities.
- Organisation & Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and effective support across activities.
- Positive Attitude & Continuous Learning: Enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to develop new skills and knowledge to support evolving digital and immersive technology requirements.
- Safeguarding & Professional Conduct: Committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults, with a clear understanding of professional boundaries and appropriate working relationships.
