About The Role
We are currently seeking an Exams Arrangement Assessor to join our Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group. As an Exams Arrangement Assessor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Role Purpose β Manage access arrangements for students requiring special exam accommodations, conduct ALS interviews, and oversee a small caseload of High Needs students.
- Access & Assessment β Implement Joint Qualifications Council requirements, maintain specialist resources, and ensure accurate records for students and external agencies.
- Collaboration & Quality β Liaise with curriculum teams to support student achievement, lead quality assurance processes for access arrangements, and share best practice across assessors.
- Administration & Reporting β Keep student data accurate for funding documentation, attend meetings, contribute to marketing activities, and support college-wide events including exams and open days.
- Statutory Duties β Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health & safety; engage in ongoing training and development to maintain compliance and professional standards.
About You
- Qualifications β Postgraduate certificate in SpLD or CPT3A (or working towards); Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy; safeguarding training.
- Knowledge & Experience β Current experience in assessment, strong understanding of JCQ regulations, curriculum models, and proven ability to deliver high-quality learning experiences and improve retention/achievement rates.
- Technical Skills β Confident use of Microsoft Office; ability to maintain accurate records and manage processes professionally; strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Core Competencies β Excellent communication (face-to-face, phone, written), ability to influence positively, work collaboratively to meet deadlines, and promote equality and diversity within the role.
