Salary & Benefits: £33,048–£38,169 per annum (DOE and qualifications), 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, professional and personal development opportunities, and access to college courses. Salary and leave are at the qualified lecturer level.
Hours, Weeks & Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Permanent full‑time contract. Right to Work UK‑based contract. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered.
About the Role: We are seeking a Teacher in Physics and Maths and/or Computer Science for our Sixth Forms department. The successful candidate must be able to teach Physics and either Maths or Computer Science.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching, learning and student development – deliver engaging, high‑quality Sixth Form teaching and support students to develop knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for learning.
- Curriculum planning and delivery – plan and deliver structured lessons, maintain a high‑quality learning environment and contribute to curriculum development.
- Assessment, progress and achievement – provide timely assessment and feedback, track student progress and help achieve retention and success targets.
- Enrichment, engagement and student experience – organise extracurricular activities, trips and events that enhance learning and support personal development.
- Professional practice, collaboration and compliance – participate in CPD, parental engagement and college activities while upholding safeguarding, EDI and health & safety standards.
About You:
- Qualifications & A Level teaching expertise: degree in a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification, supported by current experience teaching A Level students in a Sixth Form or FE environment.
- Teaching excellence and student outcomes: proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching, creating engaging learning environments and achieving strong student progress and success.
- Curriculum knowledge and innovative practice: up‑to‑date subject and syllabus knowledge, effective use of ILT to enhance learning and engage students through modern teaching approaches.
- Communication, organisation and collaboration: excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, able to build strong relationships, manage workload and work effectively within a team.
- Professional values, safeguarding and adaptability: committed to safeguarding, equality and continuous improvement, with flexibility, resilience and professionalism to meet changing demands and maintain high standards.
