About The Role
We are currently seeking a Business Engagement Executive in T-Levels to join our Employer Partnerships and Business Engagement department at The Bedford College Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Engagement & Relationship Building – proactively identify, engage and nurture employer partnerships, promoting the benefits of collaboration and securing meaningful T‑Level industry placements.
- Business Development & Outreach – generate new opportunities through outbound calls, meetings, LinkedIn engagement and pipeline management, tailoring proposals to employer needs and overcoming objections.
- Placement Coordination & Delivery – work closely with Business Engagement, Work Placements, Curriculum and support teams to match students to employers and ensure high‑quality placement experiences.
- Performance Tracking & Representation – accurately record engagement activity on CRM systems, monitor progress against targets, report outcomes, and represent the College professionally in all external communications and events.
- Compliance, Values & Student Focus – act as an ambassador for College values, uphold safeguarding, EDI and health & safety requirements, engage in continuous development, and keep the student experience central to all activity.
About You – Qualifications & Skills
- Qualifications, CPD & IT Skills – Level 2 or above (or willingness to achieve) in a relevant discipline, Level 2 Maths and English, strong Microsoft Office skills and a clear commitment to continuous professional development.
- Sales, Marketing & CRM Expertise – proven understanding of the sales cycle, targeted campaign delivery, cold calling, negotiation, CRM usage, reporting and data analysis to achieve targets.
- Customer Focus & Relationship Management – recent experience exceeding customer expectations, communicating with new, existing and lapsed clients, and building strong internal and external partnerships.
- Performance, Influence & Collaboration – self‑motivated with a track record of meeting deadlines, influencing others, working across departments, adapting to change and contributing positively to high‑performing teams.
- Values, Safeguarding & Flexibility – committed to College values, safeguarding and health & safety, maintaining professional boundaries, working flexibly across locations, travelling as required with full UK driving licence.
