About The Role
- Student Safety & Welfare – supervise within Halls of Residence, serve as the first point of contact for students, and ensure a safe, supportive, inclusive living environment aligned with care standards.
- Safeguarding & Wellbeing – promote safeguarding, health & safety, and student wellbeing; respond to concerns and maintain accurate records.
- Student Engagement & Development – deliver evening enrichment activities, support personal and social development, encourage positive behaviour, independence, and awareness of British Values and PREVENT.
- Collaboration & Residential Support – work closely with residential staff and wider college teams to resolve maintenance, safety, and student support needs while building strong professional relationships.
- Operations & Compliance – maintain records and reports, manage visitor access, follow college policies, and contribute to meetings, training and wider responsibilities.
About You
- Qualifications & Experience – GCSE English and Maths (A–C or equivalent) and recent experience working successfully with young people and adults in diverse, customer‑focused environments.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills – strong verbal and written communication, ability to build positive relationships, handle challenging situations, and engage effectively with a wide range of individuals.
- Organisation & IT Skills – experience using Microsoft Office and record systems, ability to organise and deliver activities and programmes while maintaining accurate records.
- Teamwork & Professional Conduct – ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrate initiative, uphold organisational values, and maintain professional boundaries with students and vulnerable individuals.
- Flexibility & Commitment – reliable and adaptable, full driving licence, willingness to work flexible hours, commitment to continuous development, and awareness of health and safety requirements.
