There is an exciting job opportunity for a Band 7 Ward Manager or Charge Nurse to develop their management and leadership skills. St Pancras Rehabilitation Hospital (SPRU) is a level 2 rehabilitation centre in the heart of London, just 10 minutes\’ walk from Kings Cross St Pancras International. This post will be based on Rochester West, a 19-bedded ward specialising in caring for multi-pathology patients, including those who have had amputations.

If successful, the applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of the unit, working with a large multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, and therapists to ensure patients receive high-quality nursing care. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and management skills, the ability to bring positive change and growth to the unit, and a patient-focused approach. The candidate should also be able to empower the team through training and development resources. The successful candidate must reflect the CNWL Trust values and consistently model these behaviours to the wider team.

The Ward Manager is a key leadership role responsible for quality, ensuring patient safety and achievement of clinical outcomes, as well as working to improve the patient experience. They will provide forward-thinking clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff at all levels within the ward, ensuring that nursing care is delivered to a high standard and that resources are managed effectively. The Ward Manager will also monitor quality and clinical performance indicators and ensure that the patient experience underpins all ward activities, maintaining the highest standards of nursing care with particular emphasis on dignity and compassion.
