Deliver expert healthcare service.

Be confident in offering advice to clinicians, allied healthcare professionals & patients.

Provide a comprehensive primary care health service as part of the integrated health service comprising Primary care, Substance misuse and Mental Health teams, supported by allied health professionals.

Undertake physical health assessments, run clinics, provide and evaluate a range of health treatments and interventions to meet the patient\’s healthcare needs & contribute to the wider continuous development of healthcare services.

Demonstrate knowledge, skills & understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide clinical guidance to staff on physical health & wellbeing.

Ensure high standards of primary care services are delivered in a changing healthcare environment, with the needs of patients at the centre of practice.

Ensure the Healthcare Team is integrated within wider prison services, maintaining excellent communication & working relationships with all stakeholders, internal & external.

Participate in flexible working arrangements, including weekends & unsocial hours when required.

We are recruiting highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic Primary Care Senior Staff Nurses (full-time & part-time hours available) to join our friendly and expanding Health & Justice team at HMP Send. Working in our Prisons Healthcare Team, you will care for patients in secure environments and have the opportunity to promote health and well-being. Our services operate on a 7-day week model to ensure high standards of healthcare delivery. Our motto is \”Caring NOT Judging\”; we partner with the criminal justice system and other agencies to provide responsive, dependable, and high-quality primary care and mental health services, aiming to improve health and encourage social inclusion.
