OTs in CNWL are very fortunate in having a long-established professional structure, including an AHP director, Trust-wide Professional Head of OT, borough and specialist Head OTs. Personal and professional development is a high priority, underpinned by our OT R&D strategy, R&D specialist groups, and OT clinical networks. We invest in staff development through excellent internal training, commissioning external training, and providing quality supervision, helping OTs reach their full potential at every career stage.

Band 7 OTs contribute managerial and clinical expertise, and we support their clinical and managerial growth. Opportunities include leading trust-wide OT projects, shadowing senior managers, and developing areas of interest.

The post involves overseeing the Tamarind team, comprising 5 OTs, 1 OT apprentice, 4 Activity Coordinators, 2 Fitness Instructors, and a Peer Support Worker. This busy team plays a key role in delivering activity and therapy across 4 Acute Wards and 1 PICU. This is an exciting time to join, with development plans providing opportunities to hone skills and gain experience in service development, leadership, and supervision.
