Central Alliance, part of the RSK Group, is looking for two Assistant Drillers to join our team in Normanton, UK. The Assistant Driller will support the Driller in delivering safe and high-quality drilling projects for a range of clients across the UK, utilizing cable percussion, rotary drilling, window sample drilling and concrete coring.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Driller with rotary drilling and, where required, with window sampling and concrete coring.
- Work at railway sites, including weekend shifts, with appropriate rates paid.
- Follow best practices, industry standards and internal working instructions from engineers and supervisors.
- Complete essential paperwork, including timesheets and equipment inspection sheets on a weekly basis.
- Communicate with internal parties to manage drilling sites and projects as per plans.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Attend and pass internal and industry-recognised training courses such as CSCS, PTS, CCNSG and First Aid.
- Maintain ground investigation plant, equipment and tools.
- Be competent in assisting with rotary and windowless sampling drilling operations.
- Have knowledge of conventional coring systems (PWF, T6-116, T6-H, 412, SWF); entry-level candidates may be considered.
