About the Role

At Centra Training, we’re on a mission to improve access to vocational education, enhancing opportunities for those working in the care sector. We’re looking for a Sector Specialist Tutor to deliver vocational qualifications from level 2 – 5 in care organisations. This is a home-based role with flexibility, strong job satisfaction, and willingness to travel within the geographical area linked to your location.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging training, supporting learners on their journey.
- Engage with employers and review progress.
- Build strong, positive relationships with both learners and employers.
- Manage a caseload of learners and ensure timely completion of qualifications.
- Keep accurate learner records using our e-portfolio system.
- Maintain compliance with quality and audit standards.
- Spot opportunities for new training and business development.
- Continue developing your own skills and contribute to quality improvements.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSEs (A–C) in Maths, English & ICT (or equivalent).
- TAQA or other Assessing, Teaching Qualifications.
- Proven background in the care sector, qualified to level 5 or above.
- Strong tutoring, coaching, or teaching experience (1 year+ preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to inspire learners.
- Committed to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Other Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
