Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver building services consultancy across mechanical and M&E systems within operational environments
  • Support clients in managing FM contractors and maintenance service delivery
  • Produce designs, specifications, and oversee project delivery through to completion
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and condition surveys of plant and equipment
  • Lead maintenance contract tendering processes and evaluate contractor performance
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and advisory support to clients
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, health and safety, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities
  • Support and mentor junior engineers within the team
  • Contribute to business development and company growth initiatives

Key Requirements / Skills

  • Essential
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering
  • Strong background in design, specification, and project management
  • Experience working within building services or FM consultancy environments
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to carry out technical audits, surveys, and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Desirable
  • Experience in hard FM maintenance contract tendering and management
  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small teams
