Role Summary
The Project Manager will take ownership of multiple small to mid-value fire systems projects, typically ranging from £80k to £500k, from initiation through to final handover. Working alongside two senior Project Managers who oversee larger projects (£1–2m), this role focuses on managing smaller teams, programmes and budgets while ensuring compliance with fire regulations and client SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple fire systems projects from order handover through to final completion and certification
- Take full responsibility for project budgets, cost control and margin protection
- Coordinate design development for fire detection, suppression and PAVA systems
- Plan and manage programmes, labour resources and subcontractors
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Oversee procurement of materials and manage supplier performance
- Chair project meetings and provide regular progress and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire standards, legislation and company procedures
- Manage commissioning, client training and final handover documentation
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within fire detection, fire suppression or PAVA systems
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in the £80k–£500k range
- Strong understanding of fire industry standards, regulations and compliance
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project costs
- Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational, communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements
- Industry qualifications (e.g. FIA, NEBOSH, Prince2 or similar)
- Experience working on projects across London and the South East
- Background in design coordination or technical fire engineering support
