Mobile Fire and Security Engineer

Location: South M25 and surrounding areas (company van + fuel card provided)

Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (1-hour lunch)

Salary: £32,000 – £41,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and repairs
  • Modifications per contract requirements
  • Regular client communication regarding KPIs and SLAs
  • Design, support, and quotes in line with British Standards
  • Dilapidation reports and recommendations for new contracts
  • Support site-specific requests and system commissioning

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, and fire systems
  • Multi-disciplined background preferred or willingness to cross-train
  • Familiarity with British Standards, NSI, and LPCB standards
  • Advanced diagnostics, fault-finding, and PC networking skills
  • Health & Safety knowledge and experience with permits to work
  • Experience in system design, surveying, estimating, and quoting
  • On-call rota: 1 in 4 weeks (standby pay £125/week)
  • Callouts: Paid at time-and-a-half, with a minimum of 4 hours or total time spent (door-to-door)
