Air Compressor Engineer

Join an industry leading company as an Air Compressor Engineer and have the chance to work on cutting-edge systems with real progression opportunities and great benefits!

Location: Aldermaston

Salary: £42,000 per annum + Onsite Allowances (total package £45k+)

Overtime: Mon-Fri = flat rate. Sat/Sun/BHs = x1.5.

Hours: Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:45 to 16:30 (16:15 finish on Friday). Week 2: Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30. Enjoy every other Friday off work.

About the Role:

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance works and installations, ranging from minor repairs and servicing to full air system installation and commissioning.

• Attend to breakdowns in line with client requirements, which may involve call-outs.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment, both in the field and in the workshop.

• Conduct PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and commissioning of new equipment.

• Install new equipment and pipework.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical fault-finding.

• Strong knowledge of compressed air systems and other mechanical systems is essential.

• Air conditioning experience preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience with control and instrumentation systems is advantageous.

• Proficiency in servicing and repairing at least some of the following equipment:

  • Reciprocating compressors (piston compressors).
  • Screw compressors.
  • Desiccant dryers.
  • Refrigerant dryers.
  • Various forms of filtration systems.
  • Dryers, N2 systems, pumps, and plant machinery
