We’re looking for a confident, qualified Fire Systems Engineer to join a specialist team working on commercial and industrial fire detection systems nationwide. If you’re technically skilled, standards-driven, and ready to take ownership of complex projects, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, commission, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable & non-addressable)
- Work with technologies including air sampling, beam detection, and wireless solutions
- Deliver systems in line with BS5839 and best practice
- Handle programming and cause/effect configuration across multiple manufacturers
- Supervise contractors on site (SSSTS required)
- Complete all compliance documentation to FIA/BAFE standards
- Conduct system handovers and client demonstrations
- Travel to sites nationwide, with some overnight stays
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years’ experience in the fire alarm industry
- FIA Advanced & Commissioning qualifications
- Full understanding of BS5839 (all parts)
- Ability to work independently and in customer-facing roles
- Certifications: ECS/CSCS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, SSSTS
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible and responsive to short-notice travel and occasional on-call duties
- Strong team player with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
